Being happy with your job
is more important than
having a high salary.
Take a look at modern society; there are many choices regarding food, clothing, vehicles and much more. As a result, we eat more, have weight problems; we work to pay for our houses, cars and future retirement. We tend to think that getting a job with a high salary will make us happy. In my opinion to be happy with your job is more important than having a high salary due to a balanced lifestyle and job satisfaction.
First of all, having a balanced lifestyle is important. In my view, balance in life means, pursuing a balance between your body, mind and spirit. If you live for money you will lose other things in life like love, talent, respect, health, imagination, conscience, freedom and also social contact.
Secondly, it is important to attain job satisfaction. Working is essential to survival. If you are happy in your vocation, you feel competent and gain self-esteem and maybe even a higher salary lately.
Many people choose their job as a function of their salary expectations and lately realize that it was a mistake. A high salary generally means working longer hours and enduring higher stress levels. Being in the wrong career is also very stressful and can be frustrating. For instance, in Mexico, many workers don’t have choices. Indeed, because they are poor, they must begin working very young and select the first job they find. Therefore, they feel so frustrated about their existence.
In conclusion, in order to get job satisfaction and secure equilibrium in life you need to organize and prioritize your life, and most important, you need to think about what is really important to you. In practice, you need to take time for your job, make time for your own family and hobbies. Recent research show that people who have a certain balance in their life feel more happy and satisfied than those who do not have it.
